Persona 5 – The Animation

Prepare your heart to be stolen by the Phantom Thieves !. Persona 5 The Animation Series will be aired on 7 April 2018 ready to steal all the fans hearts. Previously, to promote the game, Persona 5 – The Daybreakers was aired on 03 September 2016, which is showing off the exploration of the Phantom Thieves inside the Mementos. Atlus has confirmed that the original seiyuu (voice actor) will be back to voice their characters except Miyu Matsuki (seiyuu of Chihaya Mifune) and Kazunari Tanaka (seiyuu of Junya Kaneshiro) who both unfortunately has passed away.

The plot will follow the main plot of the game. The story takes place in modern Tokyo where the main character (Ren Amamiya) is transferred after being put on probation for a year for an assault when he was trying to save a woman from harassment. In school, Ren makes friends with students who has been victimized by corrupt adult like him and form The Phantom Thieves in order to change the society. A lot of fans know the main character as Akira Kurusu, in the anime however, the name changed to Ren Amamiya. Not all of the fans happy with this and I am one of them, I think the name Akira Kurusu suits him better.
